Labourers who work hand to mouth for constructing houses also dream to have their own house at Mumbai. Architect Satish Haware turned their dream into reality. Now he is no more, but the foundation established in his name has given a helping hand to a number of needy people. The metro city of Mumbai comprises of a large section of labour class people. Some of them run rickshaw, some sell clothes on footpath while some are engaged in selling fruits and vegetables. Each one having the desire to have his own sweet home in Mumbai which is indeed a Herculean task in such densely populated economic capital of India. Satish Haware opened the door of hope for these brethren and made them live in their own house. This youth, who came from a tiny Pathrod village in Vidarbha (Maharashtra), earned a name of respect through his noble work in New Mumbai. Beginning with a job and shifting later on to a private architectural business, he finally established himself as a successful builder in Navi Mumbai by establishing a firm in the name of Haware Builders. Soon he started conquering newer and newer heights and one day fulfilled the dream of labourers by erecting a huge building for them at Khargar. At a cost of just Rs 2.5-3 lakh, the labourers owned their own block in this metro. Haware also rendered his full support in arranging loans for these people.
